St Agnes Mini Mudderhttp://www.stagnes.qld.edu.au/latest-news/Pages/St-Agnes-Mini-Mudder.aspxSt Agnes Mini Mudder
Last Friday’s Mini Mudder event was another amazing example of the wonderful community spirit at St Agnes. Thank you to our Mini Mudder organiser who coordinated the day, Katrina Ryan, Sally Greenwood, and Claire Benham. Thank you also to all the parents who assisted with the clean up on the Sunday before, set up on the day, helping on the course, taking photos and cleaning up at the end. Mini Mudder is a unique event that our students are very fortunate to participate in and one I know they look forward to and one I am sure they will remember and talk about for years to come. Thanks to the generosity of so many we also raised an incredible amount of many, over $12 000! The children at St Agnes will benefit from everyone’s contributions as we move forward with plans for the new play space in 2020.

Canberra Trip 2019http://www.stagnes.qld.edu.au/latest-news/Pages/Canberra-Trip-2019.aspxCanberra Trip 2019

Our Year 6 students had a wonderful experience when they participated in an education tour of the national capital last week. The students were given the opportunity to participate in a variety of educational programs with a focus on Australia’s history, culture, heritage and democracy. The Australian Government recognises the importance of all young Australians being able to visit the national capital as part of their Civics and Citizenship education. To assist families in meeting the cost of the excursion the Australian Government contributed funding of $60 per student under the Parliament and Civics Education Rebate program towards those costs.

Our Year 6’s behaviour throughout the trip was exceptional, and we often had staff at venues we visited comment on how polite and well behaved the group was. If you didn’t have a chance to follow us on Twitter last week.
